No crickets were harmed in the making of this blog post. We have MANY little crickets in our yard. We've seen a few camel back crickets, but never when we have the camera or means of catching them. Those suckers are humongous.
We walked around the front yard a bit after Nick mowed and the black swarm of crickets leapt out whenever one of us took a step. I was admiring how fall has started in it's flawless nature to drop leaves from the tree in our front yard. Kaileb was trying to catch the crickets. Nick was tossing Gavin up in the air. Eventually Kaileb had us all out there trying to capture the quick hopping little guys. It didn't take long for us to get a couple in the jar, but without a lid most got out.
They were released unharmed.
