My Family picture book

Gavin, 18 months old, refuses to say a word.  Aside from changing his tone of voice when rambling to Ava, I have no idea what he's trying to say!  I'm not worried that he isn't talking or anything. The third kid has no reason to talk.  When your big sister wants you to be her baby doll there isn't any reason to say "I want water," when you can point and say "Uhhhhhhh!"  So to encourage those first words, of course "Mama,"  I made him a family photo album.  This way we can sit down and say Mama, Papa, and name his siblings.

This is how I made his "baby proof" photo album.

For this project you will need the following items:

Pictures, laminator, hole punch, and index card rings.

You can use as many or as few pictures as you would like.  I used 10 and put them back to back.

Stick 'em on through the laminator.  Can I just say how much I love this thing?! It's a Scotch Laminator that I purchased from Amazon.  I was a little hesitant because it was a cheaper one, but it works fantastic.

This is Tornado K, we were moving and packing up all Papa's Marine Corps gear! I snapped this picture while he was playing dress up in his Papa's hat.

Oh, back to the project. Sorry!  After you've laminated all the pictures, cut those babies out.  You will want to hole punch them individually.  I did them in the upper left corner.

Then, I put the ring through all the little holes and Voila!

Family Photo Album!

I have a million and one ideas for more fun picture books for Tiny Tyke.  I'm thinking of making one with body parts next. (nose, ear, head, etc.)

What are some things you have done to help to encourage talking in your little monkeys?
