My kid eats garbage

Lately things in our house have gone missing.  Hubs and I start searching everywhere for a baby shoe or a cell phone, only to think we've completely lost our marbles. Then I caught Tiny Tyke putting a block in the garbage. This kid is the third child. This is the first time I've encountered  my child throwing everything he can get his hands on into the garbage!  In all fairness it didn't have a lid, so we replaced it. Problem solved! Just kidding. It only took him a couple of days to figure out how to open it. After lots of "NO, keep your chubby little hands out of the garbage," he finally listened. Problem solved!

Again.

A few days later he came to me with a banana......peel. A day old peel. Gross Tiny Tyke. This was just the beginning. At least 3 times a day I've had to replace the contents of the garbage can after they've been knocked onto the floor. His favorite thing to shove in his mouth were the used k-cups from the Keurig brewer. Nothing better than a 1 and a half year old on a caffeine high.

He's finally learned to stop eating old garbage but we still find the occasional toy or shoe in there. Really makes me wonder what got tossed that we DIDN'T catch.
