For some reason I get caught up in how perfect my birthday should be. I mean it's MY day right? EVERYONE should stop doing their own thing and serve me shouldn't they? Yeah, right. This year I vowed to relish in the moment, to be completely satisfied that I was able to spend another year with my loved ones. This was maybe my best birthday yet. We went to Leesylvania State Park because it was such a beautiful spring day. We combed the beach for shells, put our toes in the sand, and the kids got soaking wet. It was phenomenal. Afterwards, we went for ice cream, because I'm not a cake person. This year has been such a great year for me, I've really tried to cherish all the small moments and let go of things that simply don't matter. I've turned my focus to praising Him for every beautiful moment. Whether it's playing in the river on my birthday or getting a few minutes alone with my husband. Those are the things that matter. This birthday was a fantastic reminder that the Lord has truly blessed me.
