After our Lewis Falls hike I'd been dying to go back to Shenandoah to visit the Big Meadow. It was apparent that spring is really trying to take over there. Everything was budding, but the flowers and greenery hadn't made their big appearance yet. We took our English Bulldog, Rocco. He can't go very far so the meadow was a good place for him to explore. It was really important to me to go because Nick was about to leave for training for the Army for 4 months. I wanted to have one last trip with him before we said goodbye for a while. I love sharing these kinds of moments with him.
Literally stuffing their faces with animal crackers!
On the way down we stopped in Sperryville to get some pizza. We took a little drive down the road to see the town and I loved these old buildings!
