Fossil hunting!
The kids have been asking to go hunting for fossilized shark teeth. We've been to Purse State Park in Maryland before. There has been quite a bit of rain accompanied by thunderstorms, so I figured the beach would have lots of interesting things washed ashore. My mom has been in town for the week and it's been a HUGE help since Nick is away with the Army. She was interested in tagging along and since it was so beautiful out we decided to go back! It is a really good place to collect some little shark teeth. We found quite a few but the real enjoyment, I think, was in the day itself. On the short hike in we saw some wild Lemon Balm. It smelled AMAZING! The view was incredible, the way the clouds reflected off of the lake was breathtaking. We even got a glimpse of a Bald Eagle who was calling to a couple females in the woods. We saw them fly out but the camera died. We were the only ones on the beach and everyone had a blast!
