I try really hard not to get caught up in the stereotypes of holidays. The thing is I'm far from perfect. My sweet Kaileb was struggling this day and that's ok because he's just a boy and we all struggle sometimes. I think he saw that I was hurt by his actions and so he decided to sing me a song. It was the very best gift to have my wonderful six year old play me a song and tell me how special I am to him. We ended the day with a nature walk close to our house and rolling down the grassy hill. Watching my little blessings play together and laugh loudly was a gift in itself. I thanked God for that very moment, I will never forget that snapshot in time. That moment, that sound of laughter, the smell of spring, the beauty of the grass, watching my children have fun with the nature created for them, that was what Mother's Day was about.
What was your very best Mother's Day memory?
