How does your garden grow?

Our garden is really taking it's time.  It probably has a lot to do with the fact that I planted many of our vegetable seeds in the shade.  Only two out of about 12 tomato plants survived the transfer to the ground because that same night we had a massive thunderstorm that destroyed them and my pepper plants. I still have a single remaining pepper, but I'm a tad disappointed!  Our corn has done pretty well, with the exception of Rocco tromping through it.  The squash are doing great as well the the lettuce, peas, and carrots. ALL of the basil died out. I learned allot about placement for next year though. I was going to plant a few more seeds, but the ENTIRE bag of seeds went mysteriously missing. The hydrangeas are starting to bloom and we have a single rose!
