Bird is the word

It's been really heating up here so we've been spending our mornings out on the deck bird watching. Mostly, we have Robins. We see the occasional cardinal and often see little sparrows trotting around.  We haven't really given the birds any reason to come to our yard. The kids decided we should get some bird seed and build some bird houses.  Instead of building the bird houses though, we went to the craft store and picked up a couple.  They painted the bird houses and we put them outside in hopes that at some point they will be occupied by a cardinal or a little sparrow. It's my hope that the squirrels won't eat all the bird seed! The other pictures are of the honeysuckle growing up the porch, smells lovely, and of Gavin playing with his new and much-loved water table.
