My family has been sick since Thanksgiving. At least one person in this house has had some germ, bacteria, or virus at some point over the last few weeks. It has made me less than motivated to blog. I also took a break from social media over the month of December, which was wonderful! Everyone is finally fever, snot, and cough free and I am itching to get back into the habit of picture taking and writing.
Many things have happened over the past few weeks, some which I am so thrilled to share with the world, some that sadden me so much, I don't think I want to look back and see them on this collection of moments in my life. This is a place to share the story of my journey as His daughter, a homeschooling mom of many, and the moments that make me stop and breathe in all the grace and beauty that this walk, this life has to offer. Maybe as things are revealed to me I will share them here. For now, I'm just going to focus on the day-to-day.
I guess that brings me to the snow. Here in Virginia we have had some very cold days and more snow than we've seen in a while. It's beautiful. That's really the only nice thing I have to say about snow. OK, I guess I did get to sled down a pretty big hill close to our house with Haylie and that was really fun. That's it though. It's cold and it turns to ice. There isn't anything beautiful about a bruised tail bone. Just sayin'. Nick has also been taking the van everyday, so I haven't left the house in four days. Just going outside to check the mail has been a true testament to the fact that the cold weather and I are not friends.
Here's to hoping it starts to warm up soon.
